Alberto Biasi it's a Italian artist among the leading exponents of thekinetic art as well as among the founders of the historian Group No.
He was born in Padua in 1937. Orphaned of a mother, he spent most of his childhood with his paternal grandmother in Carrara San Giorgio in the province of Padua. At the end of the war, he returns to his hometown where he then attends classical high school and subsequently enrolls in Faculty of Architecture of Venice before and al Higher Course in Industrial Design Then. After completing his studies, in 1958 he obtained the chair of advertising graphic arts at theProfessional Institute of Padua.
In 1959 Alberto Biasi took part in various youthful artistic events and with some architecture students of the same age he formed the Enne-A group. In 1960 he exhibited together with Enrico Castellani, Piero Manzoni, Agostino Bonalumi and other European artists at Azimuth Gallery from Milan.
In 1961 the artist joined the movement "New trends” and in 1962, as Group No, exhibits with Bruno Munari, Enzo Mari and the Milanese T group in the first Arte Programmata exhibition at the Olivetti Shop in Milan.
In this period he made the weft which represent the artist's first experiments and are made up of superimpositions of materials belonging to the same typology, such as cotton gauze, metal mesh and perforated paper, stacked and progressively rotated to create variable and progressive constellations.
The series of Plots was soon followed by that of the Optical-dynamic surveys, linear and luminous configurations placed on two different floors spaced a few centimeters apart, of Twists and of the Environments come i Light prisms.
After the experience of Group N, Alberto Biasi continues his investigation into the interaction between viewer and work of art. In the seventies he developed i Politicians characterized by the overlapping of several floors and the multiple interweaving of strips, thus alluding to the third dimension. At the end of the nineties he created the Assemblies which represent figural memories, mostly accompanied by witty and surprising titles.
Over the course of his sixty-year career, Alberto Biasi has participated in many international exhibitions and his works are part of prestigious public and private collections in Italy and abroad.
