BIOGRAPHY Luigi Veronesi (Milan, May 28, 1908 – Milan, February 25, 1998) was an Italian painter, photographer, director, and set designer. Born in Milan, at the age of 17, thanks to his father's darkroom, he began to analyze and explore the creative potential of the photogram. In the twenties he began his artistic activity, attending a textile designer course, and at the same time conducting research in the photographic field that allowed him to obtain, through certain techniques, images full of originality. He was introduced by Raffaele Giolli to a group of intellectuals associated with the magazine Poligono. At 20 years old he began to take an interest in painting studying with the Neapolitan painter Carmelo Violante, then professor at the Carrara Academy of Bergamo. Continue reading. |
