Piero Guccione (Scicli, 5 May 1935 - Modica, 6 October 2018) was an Italian painter and engraver.

Piero Guccione was born on May 5, 1935 in Scicli, a small town in the south-eastern part of Sicily, in the province of Ragusa. The third son of a petty bourgeois family, his father was an excellent tailor, with a marked musical propensity like many artisans of the time, his mother a housewife who wanted her son to become a doctor at any cost. Thanks to the complicity of his father, he abandons classical studies to devote himself to the real pleasure of drawing and painting. He attended the Comiso Art School for a year, then moved to the Catania Art Institute, where he spent three years, one of the happiest of his school career, graduating in 1954.
