      Ernesto Tatafiore (Marigliano, 1943) is an Italian artist and painter.

      He approaches painting through the activity of his uncle and his father, the latter of which is a doctor. Graduated in medicine and specialized in psychiatry, he exhibited his works for the first time at the IX National Quadrennial of Art in Rome in 1965. In 1969 he organized his first personal exhibition at the Lucio Amelio gallery. Achille Bonito Oliva on that occasion defines his art as "neo-Enlightenment", since it dealt with the themes of the French and Parthenopean revolutions. In 1980 he took part in the 39th Venice Biennale in the Open '80 section curated by Achille Bonito Oliva and Harald Szeemann, his work was included in the Transavanguardia. Lives and works in Naples.
